Cabbage Patch Stew


2 lbs ground beef
1 head of green cabbage (chopped in med.pieces)
3 cans diced tomatoes (for spicy use rotel)
2-3 stalks celery (chopped)
2 bell peppers
1 lg onion (chopped)
3-4 tbls oil
1 can pinto beans
1/2 cup Bills Season All
1 tsp chilli powder
4 to 5 cans of water


In large stock pot, generously season hamburger meat with Bills Season All (bout 1/4 cup) and brown.  In large frying pan, saute celery, bell pepper, and onion in oil. Add chilli powder. When onions are clear ad to hamburger meat.  Add tomatoes, beans, cabbage.  Add enough water to cook cabbage, about 3 cups.  Add remaining Bills seasoning to taste.  Cook in a rolling boil and then cover and simmer for about 1 to 1 1/2 hrs until cabbage id tender, stir occasionally.  Serve with hot cornbread.
